Several reports have claimed that Qualcomm will unveil the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip in October of this year. There is a possibility that MediaTek too may announce the Dimensity 9400, a flagship offering, in the same month. According to Digital Chat Station, several flagship smartphones are expected to launch in October featuring next-generation chipsets and a 1.5K resolution display. He revealed that these phones would not be too large in size, indicating he could be only talking about the standard models and not “Pro” variants of the upcoming flagship series of smartphones from different brands.

He revealed that two of them will feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset, whereas there will be one phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Emojis used in the post hint that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone could be the Xiaomi 15. Meanwhile, other emojis suggest that the Vivo X200 and Oppo Find X8, both featuring the Dimensity 9400, are also set for an October release. The leak also suggests that the Vivo X200 and Oppo Find X8 will have a periscope telephoto camera onboard, whereas it will not be available on the Xiaomi 15.

The Xiaomi 15 could be accompanied by the larger Xiaomi 15 Pro, featuring the same SD8G4 chip. On the other hand, the X200 Pro with the D9400 SoC may debut along with the X200.

However, there is no clarity whether the Find X8 Ultra will also debut in October. There is a possibility that the Ultra variant equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and satellite connectivity support may break cover by early 2025 in China.

Additionally, reports indicate that other Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 devices, such as the OnePlus 13 Pro, iQOO 13 series, Redmi K80 Pro, and Realme GT 6 Pro, are in development. These devices are expected to launch before the end of 2024.
