The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was first unveiled in the brand’s home market of China. Now, the new ultra-premium flagship phone has finally dropped in the Indian market. The company’s latest foldable phone arrives as the slimmest foldable phone in India. In its folded state, it measures just 11.2mm in thickness and 5.2mm when unfolded. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is also quite light, weighing 236 grams. This device offers an IPX8 rating as well for water resistance. Vivo has also brought improvements to its hinge mechanism, which they claim can withstand 100 folds every day for 12 years.

The primary screen is a tall 8.03-inch E7 AMOLED display that supports LTPO technology, 2K+ resolution, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision, UTG glass, and up to 4,500nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, the cover display has a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, Armor Glass, Dolby Vision, and up to 4,500nits of peak brightness.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro arrives as the latest flagship device in India and features top-end specs like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This chip is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM with 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Under the hood, a massive 5,700mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and reverse wireless fast charging as well.

For optics, this model features a 50-megapixel primary camera (OV50H sensor) on the rear that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Zeiss T* coating. This main sensor is also powered by the V3 imaging chip. This is coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens (Samsung JN1) and a 64-megapixel (OV64B) telephoto shooter. For selfies and video calls, the primary and secondary screen houses a 32-megapixel shooter.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro runs on the Android 14 OS based Funtouch OS 14 custom skin. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.4 LE, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM support with 5G SA/NSA support.

3. Pricing and Availability

Vivo has announced the X Fold 3 Pro in the Indian market for a hefty price tag of 159,999 INR (roughly 1,917 US Dollars) for the lone 16GB + 512GB variant. This puts it in the ultra-premium flagship category like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It has released in a single color option, which is Celestial Black. The new foldable phone will be available for purchase via the brand’s official webstore, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline channels.

First sales are set to kick off on 13th June 2024, while the pre-bookings of the device are already live as of today (6th June 2024). Vivo is also selling the 50W wireless fast charger for 5,599 INR, which will go on sale on 17th June 2024 through the Vivo India eStore and offline retailers.
