Xiaomi has unveiled the Smart Camera C300 Dual-Camera Edition, a new home security camera that features two lenses to provide a wider viewing angle and more comprehensive monitoring. The camera will have a price tag of 299 CNY on retail shops.

The key highlight of the Xiaomi Smart Camera C300 Dual-Camera Edition is its dual-lens design. This setup comprises a 6mm pan-tilt telephoto lens and a 2.8mm short-focus fixed lens. The telephoto lens offers 360-degree horizontal panning and 88-degree vertical tilting, allowing you to monitor a wide area of your home. Meanwhile, the fixed lens provides a focused view of a specific area. The camera also has infrared support for night views.

The C300 utilizes advanced AI features to provide security features. The camera detects human figures within the camera’s view. It also recognizes the unusual sounds and alerts you. Xiaomi C300 can detect the human faces as well so it can identify an unknown person in the camera’s view.

Xiaomi C300 comes with one fixed and one rotating camera lens, so it can monitor blind spots as well. And you can simultaneously view the footage from both of the camera through Mi Home app. The camera supports Wi-Fi 6 for improved network transmission and is equipped with Xiaomi’s security chip to protect against privacy leaks. The C300 supports H.265 encoding and offers three storage options: microSD card, cloud storage, and NAS storage.
