Insta360 has launched the new GO 3S, a 4K thumb camera ideal for capturing action and vlogging footage. Available in black and white, the GO 3S is ultra-compact and lightweight, perfect for on-the-go creators. A significant upgrade from its predecessor, the GO 3S now shoots in stunning 4K resolution at 30fps, nearly double the resolution of the GO 3. The camera benefits from a newly upgraded high-performance chip that delivers a 50% boost in CPU processing power for smoother performance. It also features a new wide-angle lens for capturing expansive scenes.
Insta360 has prioritized low-light performance in the GO 3S. Users can expect better picture clarity, brightness, and color saturation in low-light environments. The camera also boasts a new “Natural Wide-Angle FOV” that reduces edge distortion for a more realistic viewing experience. Creators can take advantage of a new portrait filter that softens and naturalizes skin tones for flattering selfies and vlogs. Additionally, the GO 3S supports Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR) for vivid colors when previewing and exporting footage.
The GO 3S offers a variety of shooting and control options to enhance the user experience. The camera can be used independently or paired with the expansion compartment for extended battery life and additional features. A 2.2-inch flip touchscreen simplifies control, offering charging, image transmission, and remote control functionalities. The GO 3S introduces a new “interval recording” function that automatically captures shots at predetermined intervals and utilizes AI-powered automatic editing to create highlight reels with ease.
For quick adjustments, the GO 3S features a horizontal/vertical shooting switch to change the video aspect ratio in just a second. The camera offers both voice and gesture control, perfect for group photos or noisy environments. Notably, the GO 3S is compatible with Apple’s Find My network, allowing users to locate their misplaced camera using an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook.
