OnePlus has been pushing out major software updates for many of its smartphones introducing new animations, new touch controls and other improvements. The OnePlus 10R is yet to receive this update, however, the brand has released OxygenOS 14.0.0.620 for the device, which comes with multiple welcome changes.

  • You can now adjust the volume in Quick Settings.
  • You can now choose not to show the track when drawing the Lock screen pattern to unlock your device.
  • You can now adjust the size of a floating window by dragging its bottom and swiping up to close a mini window.
  • Integrates the June 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.
  • Improves system stability.

It is worth noting that this update is currently rolling out to Indian users only. And as usual, it will be made available in batches, meaning that some users might receive it early, while others might have to wait for a few more days. To manually check for an update, go to the settings page, choose “About device,” and click on the blue ribbon. If an update is available, you can download and install it from there.

If you come across any bugs, you can report them by dialing *#800# and selecting the “Submit bugs” option. Please note that this method of bug submission is only available to users in India.

In related news, OnePlus has dropped the price of the OnePlus 11R to just ₹27,999 in India. This is a massive price cut of ₹12,000, as the smartphone debut in February 2023 for ₹39,999. Although it one generation old, it is still a good buy at the sub-₹30,000 price range, giving stiff competition to the likes of the Poco F6 and the Realme GT 6T.
