The Realme GT 6 has just launched in the Indian market as the brand’s latest affordable flagship model. It arrives about a month after the Realme GT 6T‘s release. These devices are a part of the same lineup and look pretty familiar, but they target different segments. So here’s a quick comparison between the two.
1. Realme GT 6 vs Realme GT 6T: Flagship Killer against a Mid-range phone
The Chinese brand’s new Realme GT 6 and Realme GT 6T arrive for two different audiences. The former is an affordable flagship smartphone, while the latter is an upper mid-range device. This is best reflected in the processors that power these devices. The GT 6 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is a high-end chipset.
Meanwhile, the GT 6T model comes with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. The Realme GT 6 maxes out at 16GB + 512GB, while the GT 6T comes with up to 12GB + 512GB. Both of these are powered by a large 5,500mAh battery pack that supports 120W wired fast charging.
2. Design & Display are nearly identical
The duo are nearly identical from the front and back. Both of these devices sport a tall 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display that offers 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. These panels also support HDR and have an impressive peak brightness of 6,000 nits. This panel is surrounded by a plastic frame and plastic back on both models as well. The back panel has a dual tone finish with three circular modules. The lack of a third sensor on the GT 6T is the only major visible difference.
3. Realme GT 6 with more versatile cameras
Realme released the GT 6 with a triple camera setup on the rear, which includes a 50-megapixel primary, 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. The front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. Similarly, the primary 50-megapixel camera makes a return with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. However, it skips the telephoto sensor for zoomed shots. For video calls and selfies, the 32-megapixel camera returns.
4. Pricing & Verdict
Pricing is a major factor that differentiates the two. In India, the Realme GT 6T has a starting price tag of 30,999 INR, and the GT 6 costs 40,999 INR for the base model. In other words, there’s a 10,000 INR price gap. Thanks to the more advanced processor, you have more raw performance that makes it better for intense tasks like gaming. So if you’re on a tight budget but need a decent mid-range device, the Realme GT 6T would better suit your needs. However, the Realme GT 6 is a great option for those who want flagship level performance without spending exorbitant prices
