Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip foldable phones in August in China. Well before the official announcement, prominent leaker Evan Blass released a leaked render of the Mix Fold 4 to reveal it for the first time. In addition, the tipster also shared the key specifications of the device.

The above image shows that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4’s back panel may have a faux leather finish. At the top, there is a raised rectangular module that houses four cameras, an LED flash on the left and Leica branding on the right. Blass claimed that the thickness of the device would be less than 10mm. Additionally, it will offer IPX8-rated water resistance.

The overall design of the Mix Fold 4 looks more premium than its predecessor. It should be noted that the described imagery is labelled “work product” and may not represent the final design.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 specifications (rumored)

According to Blass, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This indicates that it will rival other SD8G3 foldables, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the Honor Magic V3.

The rear camera system will comprise a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with Leica Summilux lenses. The device is expected to have a battery capacity exceeding 5,000mAh with support for wireless charging.

The 3C certification of the Mix Fold 4, which was spotted last month, revealed that it may arrive with support for satellite connectivity. As per a previous report, the quad camera setup of the device will comprise an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor size, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, an OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The other details of Mix Fold 4 are yet to be revealed.
