On July 8, Nothing‘s sub-brand CMF launched its first smartphone in the global market called the CMF Phone 1. The device was recently made available for purchase and sold more than 100,000 units in just 3 hours. Users have reported that the brand has pushed out the first OTA update for the device.

This update is 120MB in size and includes multiple camera improvements, bug fixes, and some new features. We have included the detailed changelog below.

New Features

  • Introduced Tips & Feedback for Nothing OS. Accessed via Settings > Tips & Feedback.
  • Added a new Date Widget, with a swipeable view of the next day.
  • New swipe-down function for incoming notifications. Opens a pop-up view for instant access. Turn it on via Settings > System > Pop-up view.
  • Updated Android July Security Patch.

Camera improvements:

  • Improved zoom clarity in certain scenarios.
  • Enhanced night scene photography.
  • Optimised HDR video recording.
  • Optimised the interface during Vivid Mode.
  • Improved Portrait Mode images effects.
  • Enhanced the front camera’s colour and skin tone performance.
  • Corrected colour inaccuracies in some scenes.
  • Resolved issues with low brightness in certain scenes.
  • Resolved issues with the filter not loading when taking motion photos on the rear camera.

Other general improvements:

  • Improved launcher stability by resolving crash issues.
  • Reduced scrolling lag when using X.
  • Improved the smoothness of fingerprint unlocking.
  • Resolved an issue causing fingerprint registration to fail when using a screen protector.
  • Fixed a stuttering issue during unlocking.
