Just ahead of the official launch, Canon Rumors has released the first high-resolution renderings of the highly anticipated Canon EOS R5 Mark II. These images offer a glimpse into the design and capabilities of the upcoming camera.
The camera will be able to shoot up to 30 frames per second with the electronic shutter.
The EOS R5 Mark II is expected to be a powerhouse for photographers, featuring a high-resolution 45-megapixel image sensor and a redesigned electronic viewfinder for an exceptional visual experience. For those capturing fast-paced action, the camera boasts impressive continuous shooting speeds of up to 12 frames per second with the mechanical shutter and 30 frames per second with the electronic shutter. The leaked renders suggest the camera will retain the familiar original battery grip design, while incorporating significant improvements in heat dissipation. This is achieved through a dedicated heat sink and compatibility with an optional active cooling fan, ensuring optimal performance even during extended shooting sessions.

Videographers will be particularly excited about the EOS R5 Mark II’s rumored 8K 60P recording capability, allowing for smooth and detailed high-resolution video capture. The camera is also expected to feature a versatile CFexpress Type B / SD dual card slot design, providing flexibility for storage and workflow. With a price tag estimated at $3,999 (approximately RMB 29,072), the Canon EOS R5 Mark II appears to be a serious contender in the high-end mirrorless camera market.
