Mini PC manufacturer Simply NUC is preparing to launch a new series of its fanless mini PCs. The extremeEDGE mini PC servers are powered by the 2000- and 3000-series AMD Phoenix-U and Hawk Point-U processors. The new models will get the complement of the AMD Ryzen Pro 8840 processor. The AMD Ryzen embedded V3C18l and Ryzen 7 7840U are also among the options available for the new model. The models also have variants powered by the Intel N5015 and N100 APUS. The models come with a fanless aluminum chassis that can withstand environmental temperatures between -40ºC and 85ºC.

The extremeEDGE fanless mini PC servers utilize the Nano-BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) technology which integrates remote monitoring and systems management of powerful fanless servers. Remote console access o, virtual drive creation, remote power management, and seamless firmware upgrades are supported within the Nano-BMC architecture. The silent mini PC portfolio of Simply NUC has blossomed over time. The premium model under the extremeEDGE 3000-series feature any of the top-end AMD processors. This is either the Ryzen embedded V3C181 or the Ryzen 7 7840U/ Pro 8840U processors. This is complemented with an integrated XDNA NPU.

All versions of the extremeEDGE fanless mini PC servers offer up to 64GB LPDDR5-5600 RAM and up to 24TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. The maximum power output of the processors is under 54W TDP and this ensures proper cooling while the device is operational. The ports available in the extremeEDGE are designed for high-speed server configurations. They include two 10GbE NICs, four USB-A 3.2 ports, HDMI 2.1 and DP via the USB-C, mDP or full size 2.1 connector. The models also feature a mini-USB port for accessing gaming consoles.

The dimensions of the Simply NUC extremeEDGE fanless mini PC servers are up to 163 x 149 x 72.94mm while the weight is just about 2.25kg. All versions of the model support WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, as well as 4G/5G network connectivity. There are no concrete details on the release date and pricing for the new extremeEDGE fanless mini PCs.
