The Moto Tag Bluetooth tracker was unveiled as Motorola‘s alternative to the Apple AirTag. The Moto Tag is now available for purchase after its introduction in June.

The Moto Tag was announced alongside the Motorola Razr and Razr+ smartphones, which also became available last week. The Bluetooth tracker is compatible with most AirTag accessories and works with Google’s FMD network for Android devices.
The Moto Tag functions similarly to most of the other Bluetooth trackers currently on the market. You can attach the Moto Tag to a wallet, luggage, key, or any valuable and moveable product. It ensures that your valuables are always within reach. The Moto Tag however comes with more functionality than a typical Bluetooth tracker. It can be configured such that pressing the button on the tag rings your phone. Motorola has also made the device a remote camera shutter and this feature is compatible with any Android smartphone or tablet. This allows the user to easily take selfie pics without needing to set a timer with the more powerful rear cameras of your phone.

The Moto Tag supports fast and seamless pairing with devices using Quick Pair. Once the accessory is switched on and is near your phone, you will have the Quick Pair page on the screen to connect it. The Moto Tag is rated IP67, hence it can withstand dust and survive under up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The new Motorola Moto Tag comes with a CR2032 battery that can power the device for up to a year.

The Motorola Moto Tag is offered for $29.99, which is in the same price band as the AirTag. Motorola is also offering a four-pack bundle priced at $99, with a discount of about $20. Interested customers can purchase the Moto Tag directly from the company’s website. or via Amazon. The pre-orders for the product have already started shipping, according to the company.
