OnePlus is set to release the OnePlus Open Apex Edition in India on August 10. The device will be available for purchase on Amazon India and the OnePlus India website, with pricing details to be announced on August 7.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition

Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has revealed some interesting details about the special edition foldable. As per a recent teaser, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition will be launching with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, a significant increase over the standard OnePlus Open. Beyond the storage, the Apex Edition retains the core specifications of its predecessor.

The OnePlus Open has two displays. The cover display is a 6.31-inch Super Fluid AMOLED panel with 2K resolution, a 10-120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2800 nits. The main display is a 7.82-inch Flexi Fluid AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Dolby Vision support. Both displays use a 10-bit LTPO 3.0 panel with UTG Glass.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the OnePlus Open includes an Adreno 740 GPU, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM (expandable up to 12GB), and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on OxygenOS 13.2, based on Android 13.

The camera setup features a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera system: a 48MP Sony LYT-T808 sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX581 sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots, and a 64MP OmniVision OV32C sensor for telephoto. The front cameras include a 32MP sensor on the cover display and a 20MP sensor on the main display.

The device has a 4805mAh battery with 67W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio, and an IPX4 water resistance rating.

In other news, recent leaks have revealed details about the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. These earbuds are expected to feature a similar design to the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro with improvements to ANC capabilities, and battery life. The pricing is expected €199, which is a bit higher than the €179 price tag of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
