Xiaomi has unveiled its latest BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 router in the Chinese market. The router is up for pre-order for 499 yuan ($70) on JD.com. Let’s check out its key specs.

The router is designed with a sleek, all-black gaming aesthetic, measuring 318.8 x 46.9 x 242 mm. It boasts full 2.5G ports and is powered by a Qualcomm quad-core A53 1.1GHz processor, providing robust performance and stability for home networks.
The BE6500 supports the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, which enhances data throughput and transmission capabilities, offering a theoretical peak speed of 3.57 Gbps. According to Xiaomi, this router delivers a 147% increase in peak speeds and a 358% improvement in long-distance coverage compared to Wi-Fi 6, based on their internal testing.
The router also features MLO dual-band aggregation technology, enabling devices to connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously, which improves speed and reduces latency.
The router is equipped with six front-end modules (FEMs) that enhance signal strength and coverage, ensuring reliable connectivity throughout the home. It also supports 4KQAM high-order modulation technology, which compresses data density to increase throughput, making internet speeds up to 20% faster compared to previous technologies.
The Xiaomi BE6500 router offers enhanced OFDMA technology, allowing multiple devices to connect and operate at high speeds simultaneously, which is particularly useful in households with multiple users engaged in activities like gaming, streaming, or working online.
Additionally, the router supports Xiaomi’s self-developed mesh networking, which can connect up to 10 routers to create a seamless network across the house.
In terms of connectivity, the router includes four adaptive 2.5G ports that support port aggregation, providing a maximum speed of up to 5Gbps. This flexibility caters to various needs, from IPTV services to low-latency gaming.
The router is also equipped with smart home integration, allowing it to be controlled via the Mi Home app and Xiaomi’s Xiao Ai voice assistant.
