BYD has announced the upcoming launch of two new additions to its Seal lineup: the Seal 07 DM-i and the 2025 Seal. Both models are set to expand the company’s electric vehicle offerings.
The company hasn’t mentioned a specific launch date yet.
The Seal 07 DM-i is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) featuring a sleek design and advanced powertrain options. It offers a choice of 1.5-liter or 1.5T engines paired with electric motors, delivering a combined output of 160kW or 200kW respectively. The PHEV system includes a battery pack with two capacity options, providing up to 100 kilometers of pure electric range.

The 2025 Seal builds upon the existing model with design refinements, including a new exterior color and interior accents. While specific details about the upgrades are limited, the 2025 Seal is expected to offer enhanced features and technologies.
Both models will incorporate BYD’s latest advancements in electric vehicle technology, including the e-platform 3.0 Evo for the 2025 Seal and the fifth-generation DM technology for the Seal 07 DM-i. These platforms are designed to optimize performance, efficiency, and charging capabilities.
The Seal 07 DM-i and the 2025 Seal are scheduled for launch on August 8th, and are expected to further strengthen BYD’s position in the electric vehicle market.
