Earlier this year, Huawei announced the Huawei Pocket 2, a clamshell foldable display phone, in China. It was introduced with a starting price of 7,499 Yuan (~$1,050). The brand has now unveiled the Huawei Nova Flip, its first Nova-branded flip-style foldable phone. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.

The thickness of the Huawei Nova Flip varies depending on the material, measuring 15.08mm for the plain leather version, 15.12mm for the glass version when folded, and 6.88mm and 6.9mm, respectively, when unfolded. The plain leather variant weighs 195 grams, while the glass variant weighs 199 grams. The Nova Flip features a 6.94-inch OLED LTPO foldable screen with a resolution of 2690 x 1136 pixels, supporting a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The display can achieve a peak brightness of 1200 nits and features 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced flicker. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
On the back, the Nova Flip has a 2.15-inch OLED cover screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Alongside the square-shaped cover screen is a dual-camera unit, which comprises an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint sensor.
The Nova Flip comes preloaded with Harmony OS 4.2. It is powered by the Kirin 8000 chipset and 12 GB of RAM. The flip phone comes in three storage choices, such as 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. It packs a 4,400mAh battery with 66W rapid charging support.

The pricing for the Huawei Nova Flip is as follows: the 12GB+256GB model is priced at 5,288 Yuan (~ $740), the 12GB+512GB model at 5,688 Yuan (~$795), and the 12GB+1TB model at 6,488 Yuan (~$910). The device is available in four colors: New Green, Starry Black, Zero White, and Sakura Pink.
