Google has officially announced the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 series consisting of Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold has already attracted the attention of many users. X user named Emir Bardakçı analyzed the software of Pixel 9 Pro (caiman) and found some config files.
These configs are prepared for the devices to work seamlessly in Turkey. While previously there were only some lines of code related to vodafone_tr (Vodafone Turkey), Google has made a surprising move. In order for users using Türk Telekom and Turkcell to have a smooth experience on the devices, Google has added some config for these operators.
Pixel 9 series may come to Turkey
Pixel 9 series is expected to come to Turkey. However, it’s expected that only Pixel 9 and the upcoming (unreleased) Pixel 9A models will be sold in Turkey. Emir Bardakçı shared some configures on his X account and this increased the expectations that the Pixel 9 series will be sold in Turkey.
Also, Emir Bardakçı sent me some config. These config’s contain specific codes needed for devices that will be sold in Turkey. Google’s addition of these codes indicates that the devices will be sold in Turkey in the near future.
Will the Pixel 9 series definitely come to Turkey? We are not completely sure about this, but there is a possibility that Google will introduce the Pixel 9 series to Turkey in 2025. Before that, we reviewed the ad for the Pixel 8A and there were some Turkish words in the ad.
In the ad, words are translated from Turkish to English. This video shows an example of the Live Translation feature on the Pixel 8A.
