Back in July, Honor’s latest MagicPad 2 was launched in China as its latest high-end tablet. But ahead of its global debut, the company has teased the MagicPad 2. It is set to be unveiled at IFA 2024, with new AI functionality that can help it become your learning partner.

1. Honor MagicPad 2 AI Formula Recognition for Better Learning

The Honor MagicPad 2 was just teased with an AI Formula Recognition feature. This allows you to simply convert your handwritten equations into digital texts. So it’s a pretty nifty feature for students and educators. Honor demonstrated this in a video with PatrickJMT, who is a math video creator.

We can see the AI feature in action, recognizing complex mathematical formulas quickly and accurately. Honor even pays an homage to renowned scientist Albert Einstein. The video also confirms that the upcoming MagicPad 2 is set to be unveiled on 5th September 2024. Honor will announce the tablet during the IFA event. 2. So what does it pack?

The Honor MagicPad 2 sports a tall 12.3-inch OLED display that offers 3000 x 1920 pixel resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits of peak brightness. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. A large 10,050mAh battery pack powers this device that supports 66W wired fast charging. The tablet runs on the Android 14 OS based MagicOS 8.0.1 custom skin out of the box.

It was announced with various other AI features like voiceprint noise reduction, Cloud AI Big Model, and multi-person conference voice-to-text conversion. For optics, the rear features a 13-megapixel camera, while the front houses a 9-megapixel selfie shooter. Other notable features include eight speaker crossover, Magic Pencil 3, Bluetooth 5.3, and three microphones.
