Realme has just announced the Indian launch date for its upcoming budget tablet. The company’s new tablet is dubbed the Realme Pad 2 Lite. In a fresh teaser, we finally have the launch date for the tablet and even get a first look at its design. So here’s everything you need to know.
The teaser confirmed that the Realme Pad 2 Lite is set to be released in India on 13th September 2024. This tablet is set to launch alongside the Realme P2 Pro, which is a new smartphone model. Despite being a budget tablet, the Realme Pad 2 Lite packs some capable hardware. The teaser also revealed some of its key specs and features.
2. Realme Pad 2 Lite: Specs and Features
The upcoming tablet is set to drop in India with a tall display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). This panel is an Eye Comfort display that has a max brightness of up to 450 nits. A massive 8,300mAh battery pack powers this device. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. coupled with 8GB of RAM (up to 16GB via virtual RAM Expansion).
Out of the box, the Realme Pad 2 Lite will run on the Android 14 OS based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin. Both the design and specs hint at the Realme Pad 2 Lite being quite similar to the Realme Pad 2 but with some cutdown specs. The new Lite variant is also expected to launch with 15W wired fast charging. For optics, it will reportedly feature an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. There is also a quad stereo speaker setup for an enhanced audio experience.
