HMD Global, the brand behind recent Nokia phones, has recently focused on budget and mid-range devices under its own brand. However, leaked specifications suggest that HMD may be preparing to re-enter the flagship market with a new device called the HMD Moon Knight.

According to a leak from @smashx_60 on platform X, the Moon Knight (model TA-1691) is expected to feature a P-OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, though the exact screen size remains unknown. The device is also likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which isn’t exactly the top-of-the-line SoC from Qualcomm, however, it offers performance on par with previous years’ flagships like the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Details about RAM and storage were not included in the leak.

One standout feature is the rumored addition of POGO pins, hinting at a modular design similar to the HMD Fusion. This could enable attachments like cases with added functionality. The phone is also expected to feature dual speakers and an aluminum frame.

In terms of cameras, it’s reported to include a quad-camera setup, and the design might draw inspiration from the Nokia Lumia. However, details are still limited, so we’ll need to wait for more information and renders to surface in the near future.

In other news, HMD Global is preparing to launch the HMD Aura 2, a successor to the budget-friendly Aura. Leaked details reveal key upgrades, including a larger 6.56-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a dual-camera setup (13MP + 0.8MP), an upgraded 8MP front camera, and a more powerful UNISOC T603 processor with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
