Lava is set to launch its Agni 3 smartphone in India on October 4th — this Friday. The company has been teasing aspects of it ahead of the launch, but now they’ve finally revealed the full design in their latest teaser.

But what’s exciting about a phone design? After all, most phones look similar these days. However, we are happy to report that Agni 3 is a bit unique in this regard. It has a secondary display on the back, similar to the premium Mi 11 Ultra.

Here’s Lava Agni 3 with its secondary display

As you can see in the image below, the phone has a small screen next to the cameras. And it’s not just a basic screen; it’s an AMOLED panel, so you can expect good visuals from it as well.

We’ll have to wait and see how Lava plans to use this screen. From the teasers, though, we know it will support music controls, and there’s even an animated dog wallpaper playing on it. So maybe, there will be compatible wallpapers for this screen as well.

Moreover, according to a report by Gadgets360, the secondary display measures 1.74 inches and can also serve as a viewfinder for selfies when using the rear camera. You will also be able to answer calls, view notifications, and manage calls, making this small screen quite functional.

Specifications

As for the specifications, the phone is confirmed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset. It’s the same SoC we’ve seen on the Motorola Razr 50 foldable.

The front screen will be a 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will house a triple camera setup including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and a telephoto lens as well.

Another interesting add-on in the Agni 3 is a customizable button on the side. It will most likely be used for shortcuts to certain tasks and actions.

Lava has been teasing the phone as part of its “Smartphones under ₹30k” lineup, suggesting a price under Rs 30,000. And it is confirmed to be available on Amazon in India.
