October is turning out to be a busy month for Chinese smartphone manufacturers as they are preparing to launch their respective flagship smartphone models powered by the upcoming flagship MediaTek and Qualcomm SoCs. A recent report indicated that Xiaomi could launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) Xiaomi 15 series on October 23. However, a new report has now surfaced hinting that the launch could happen on October 20.

Leaker Fixed Focus Digital hinted in a cryptic Weibo post that Vivo will introduce its X200 series on October 14, with Xiaomi set to release the Xiaomi 15 series on October 20. Honor is also expected to reveal its flagship Honor Magic 7 on October 30. The Vivo X200 series recently appeared on the Chinese retail platform JD.com, further solidifying the October 14 launch date. With the rumored launch dates just weeks away, official announcements for the Xiaomi and Honor flagships are likely to follow soon.

Xiaomi 15 series specs (expected)

The Xiaomi 15 Pro will reportedly feature a 120Hz 2K display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an 8.5mm thick body. The device will have a special Titanium Edition like last year’s model.

For optics, the Pro model will come with a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.5, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom.

The base model on the other hand is said to come with a 6,000mAh battery and an IP69 water and dust resistance rating. Both devices will offer 90W wired fast charging and will house the Snapdragon 8 Elite (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) chipset.

Honor Magic 7 series features (expected)

The Magic 7 series smartphones are anticipated to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, with the standard model sporting a 1.5K display and the Pro model offering a 2K display. Both devices will come equipped with a triple-camera setup on the rear, including a 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor as the primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, possibly the Sony IMX882, and a third sensor that could be either 50 megapixels or 200 megapixels (Samsung HP3).
