The Redmi Note 14 Pro series is off to a strong start. Xiaomi announced today that the top-tier Note 14 Pro+ model has smashed the record for first-week sales of any Android phone in 2024, across all price ranges.

While the company hasn’t shared the specific sales figures, the achievement suggests the phone resonated with budget-conscious buyers looking for flagship features. The Redmi Note series has always been known for offering solid specs at competitive prices, and the Note 14 Pro+ seems to be continuing that tradition.

Part of the phone’s appeal could be its impressive durability. Xiaomi boasts IP66, IP68, and even IP69 dust and water resistance ratings for the Note 14 Pro series. So the phone is not only protected against dust and water immersion but even high-pressure water jets.

To capitalize on the early momentum, Xiaomi is extending the first-sale benefits for the entire Note 14 Pro series until October 14th. This means anyone purchasing a Note 14 Pro or Note 14 Pro+ before that date gets a comprehensive warranty package.

It includes a one-year screen breakage warranty, a one-year battery cover warranty, a one-year water ingress warranty, and a surprisingly generous five-year battery warranty. Additionally, for the first year of ownership, buyers can get a complete phone replacement instead of just repairs.

Specifications

The phone features a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Its 1220 x 2712 resolution delivers a pixel density of 446 ppi for bright, sharp, and clear visuals.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, the device comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

For photography, the phone includes a 50 MP main camera with a large 1/1.55″ sensor and OIS. It’s complemented by a 50 MP 2.5x telephoto lens and an 8 MP ultrawide camera.

To power up things, you get a large 6200 mAh battery inside. Yet the phone weighs just 210 grams. This is thanks to Si/C battery technology, which offers higher energy density in compact form. It also supports 120W fast charging for quick power-ups.
