According to reports, Honor will announce the Honor Magic 7 series of smartphones later this month in China. The lineup is expected to include multiple models, such as the Magic 7, Magic 7 Pro, Magic 7 Ultimate, and Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design. In a new leak, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some information about an upcoming Snapdragon 8-series chip-powered smartphone, which appears to be the Honor Magic 7 Pro.

Honor Magic 7 Pro’s new upgrades revealed

In the latest leak, Digital Chat Station disclosed that an upcoming “large cup Snapdragon 8 Gen 4” device will come with several upgrades. These include the addition of a single-point ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, 100W wired charging, faster wireless charging, and a micro-quad-curved screen with equal-sized ultra-thin bezels.

The tipster added that the main camera and periscope telephoto cameras will remain the same as the previous generation. He also mentioned that the battery capacity has not been upgraded. While he did not explicitly reveal the name of the device, it appears he is referring to the forthcoming Honor Magic 7 Pro.

For reference, the Honor Magic 6 Pro featured a 5,600mAh battery paired with 80W wired and 66W Honor wireless SuperCharge, and wireless reverse charging. A recent leak revealed that the Magic 7 Pro has a 5,620mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.

The leak further suggests that the main camera of the Honor Magic 7 will switch to the OV50H sensor from Chinese CMOS manufacturer OmniVision. This sensor is also used in the Huawei Pura 70 and Xiaomi 14, both of which have received high praise. Additionally, the company seems to be testing the Magic 7 Ultimate Edition with OmniVision’s new OV50K large-sized image sensor. This also suggests that the Ultimate variant may debut in 2025.
