A new Redmi phone – the Redmi A3 Pro – has seemingly materialized out of thin air. While Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced the device, a Kenyan online store has published a listing for the A3 Pro, complete with basic specifications and a surprisingly low price tag.

The product photos alongside the specs seem to be “unofficial,” as they are raw images rather than official renders.

It’s worth noting that there was no A2 Pro or A1 Pro before, making the Redmi A3 Pro the first “Pro” model in the A-series. The device had previously appeared in the HyperOS codebase, adding credibility to the listing and its specs. Let’s take a closer look.

Redmi A3 Pro Specifications

The A3 Pro seems to build upon the foundation of the standard Redmi A3. It boasts a 6.88-inch display, maintaining a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the MediaTek Helio G36 in the A3 gets an upgrade to the Helio G81 Ultra in the Pro variant. This will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM.

The camera department is another area where things get a notable upgrade. The listing shows a 50MP AI main sensor, a significant step up from the A3’s 8MP dual-camera system. However, details regarding the secondary rear camera remain shrouded in mystery.

The device has a sizeable 5,160mAh battery to keep things amped, however, there’s no mention of charging speed. Security will be handled by a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Price (Expected)

The most convincing aspect of the A3 Pro might be its price tag. Listed at KSh13,999 (roughly €100/$110), it puts itself firmly in the budget smartphone arena. If the leaked specs hold true, this price could make the A3 Pro a compelling option for value-conscious users.
