Casio has expanded its popular AE-1200WH series with a new leather band model, the AE-1200WHL-5AV. This iconic watch, known for its durability and functionality, now offers a more elegant and refined look.
The AE-1200WHL-5AV retains the series’ signature features, including 100-meter water resistance and an approximate 10-year battery life. It also features a unique display with a world map indicator and a subdial that displays the home time in all modes.
The new leather band adds a touch of sophistication to the watch while maintaining the same comfortable fit and lightweight design as the previous resin and stainless steel models. The watch’s overall weight remains at 39 grams, making it ideal for everyday wear.
In addition to the new band, the AE-1200WHL-5AV also features a slightly redesigned face with updated labels. The “Alarm,” “WR,” and “Chrono” labels have been relocated below the LCD display, and the “10-Year Battery” label has been moved below the hands subdial.

The Casio AE-1200WHL-5AV watch offers a wide range of features, including world time with 31 time zones and daylight saving on/off, a stopwatch with 1/100-second accuracy and multiple measuring modes, a countdown timer with a range of 1 second to 24 hours, 5 daily or one-time alarms with an hourly time signal, an LED light with selectable illumination duration, a full auto-calendar up to the year 2099, a 12/24-hour format, and 100-meter water resistance. Additionally, the watch features multi-time functionality for tracking time in four different cities.
Pricing & availability
The AE-1200WHL-5AV is scheduled for release in Asia (excluding Japan) in October 2024. It will cost S$65 in Singapore. Pricing details regarding other global markets are currently unknown.
