Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Xiaomi 15 series on October 29. The line will be joined by the Ultra model in early 2025. While its details have surfaced gradually, we now get a first look at the phone through renders shared by SmartPrix.
The renders show a large camera module on the back, similar to its predecessor. However, the camera placement within the module stands out for its asymmetrical lens design.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a unique camera module
According to the source, the lone top camera will be the highlight this year. It is a 200-megapixel, 4.3x zoom periscope telephoto lens. That’s quite a step up from the 50MP telephoto in the 14 Ultra. The image sensor used here is likely Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9.
Below this, there are three lenses arranged horizontally — a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto sensor. The front camera is expected to be 32 megapixels.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also rumored to feature a 6.7-inch, 120Hz LTPO OLED display with micro-curved edges. The display will also house an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking.
The 15 Ultra is said to come in three material finishes — plain leather, fiberglass, or ceramic, offering a variety of options to suit different preferences and styles.
Under the hood, the phone will likely use the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for powerful performance. It may also pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. On the software side, it’s expected to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15.
We are still missing price details. A price increase is expected for all Snapdragon 8 Elite phones this year. If the soon-to-be-launched Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro see a price increase, it’s reasonable to expect a similar rise for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
