G-Shock MR-G MRGB2100D-1A features

The G-Shock MR-G MRGB2100D-1A features a titanium alloy case (Ti64) and bezel crafted from a COBARION alloy known for its hardness and polished finish. Its titanium band, made from DAT55G alloy, balances strength with flexibility for comfortable wear. Inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the watch’s bezel is constructed with 27 individual parts for a distinct design.

Beyond its design, the MRGB2100D-1A includes practical features. Tough Solar technology powers the watch through solar energy, reducing the need for battery changes. Multi-band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping offers accuracy across different time zones, and Bluetooth connectivity allows for easy synchronization with a smartphone app, providing features like automatic time updates, phone finder, and real-time watch status.

The watch is shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it suitable for outdoor activities. The sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating ensures clear visibility even in bright light, while the Super Illuminator LED light aids readability in low light.

Pricing & availability

The Casio MRGB2100D-1A smartwatch is available for $4,200/£3,700, with release dates for other markets yet to be announced.

In other news, Casio has also recently unveiled the new limited-edition G-Shock MR-G MRG-B2000JS-1A, which celebrates Japanese sword-making with a design inspired by the Juryoku-Maru: San katana by master swordsmith Kamiyama Teruhira. With a recrystallized titanium bezel, blue-grey AIP coating, aogai-nuri lacquered band, and hand-engraved details, only 800 of these collector’s pieces will be available globally.
