The Xiaomi 15 series is also among the first to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, delivering significant improvements in performance and efficiency. According to Qualcomm, the new chipset provides a 45% boost in CPU performance, a 40% increase in GPU performance, and a 44% gain in power efficiency.

These upgrades are supported by significantly larger batteries and improved heat dissipation. The standard Xiaomi 15 now includes a 5,400mAh battery, up from 4,600mAh in its predecessor, while the Pro model has a 6,100mAh battery, up from 4,880mAh.

One of the key upgrades for the Pro model is the new 5x periscope telephoto lens, which replaces the 3x telephoto of previous models. With enhanced imaging hardware, an optimized super telephoto function, and new AI-powered editing tools in the gallery app, the Xiaomi 15 Pro stands out as one of the most advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships for 2025.
