Samsung is apparently working on a new budget foldable smartphones from its Galaxy Z series. These new models could be a part of the Fan Edition model and might be dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE. While the brand has yet to share any official details regarding these tablets, the Galaxy Z Flip FE just surfaced in a fresh leak. So let’s check it out.
Galaxy Z Flip FE Featuring In-House Flagship Chip?
The information arrives from tipster Jukanlosreve who shared the details on X (formerly Twitter). The upcoming budget flip phone might be launching with the South Korean tech giant’s in-house flagship chip. Jukanlosreve claims that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will pack the Exynos 2400 SoC, which is the same high end chipset that powered the Galaxy S24 series. Considering how these are the brand’s 2024 flagship phones, so the Galaxy Z Flip FE packs some capable specs and features.

That’s not all, the recent Q3 earnings report had a Samsung executive hinted at an affordable foldable phone. So the brand’s foldable experience could be arriving with capable specs despite a more accessible price tag. To recall, the Galaxy FE devices have some premium specs for a mid range cost. In our previous report, the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy Z Fold FE were rumored to launch with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
This report also added that the Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE may launch with an Exynos chipset in certain markets. Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy Z Flip FE would likely be a cut-down version of the premium Galaxy Z Flip 6 model. While finer details are still at large, leaks point to the Galaxy Z Flip FE launching sometime next year. The tipster also claims that the next-gen Galaxy Z Flip 7 will launch with an Exynos 2500 SoC. Although this is still just an unconfirmed report at this point, so take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more updates.
