Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi K80 series smartphones by the end of this month. And a new leak from Weibo tipster Experience More has now revealed the specs of both the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro smartphones.

Redmi K80

The base Redmi K80 is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is still a powerhouse chip despite not being the absolute latest. The display is rumored to be a 2K Huaxing LTPS panel with a flat design as its predecessor.

The camera system on the back will reportedly include a 50MP Omnivision OV50 main sensor coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens. The front-facing camera is tipped to be a 20MP Omnivision OV20B sensor.

In terms of battery life, the K80 boasts a sizeable 6500mAh capacity, which, paired with the expected 90W fast charging, should keep you powered through the day and well into the night.

Security will be handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the display. The phone is also said to sport a metal middle frame for a premium feel, with Dragon Crystal Glass on the front and back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Redmi K80 Pro

Now, let’s move on to the K80 Pro. Here’s where things get a bit more exciting. The Pro variant is rumored to be equipped with the absolute top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The display remains a 2K Huaxing LTPS panel, sticking with the flat design.

The camera setup on the Pro takes a step up, with a 50MP main sensor (again, Omnivison OV50) joined by a much higher-resolution 32MP ultrawide ISOCELL KD1 sensor and a 50MP ISCOELL JN5 telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom. The front-facing camera remains the same 20MP sensor as the standard K80.

As for the battery, it is rumored to be of 6000mAh capacity. However, it’s compensated for by the inclusion of both 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The rest of the package – the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, metal middle frame, Dragon Crystal Glass build, and IP68 rating – seems identical to the standard K80.
