Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi A4 5G in the Indian market. The new device is a budget friendly smartphone, which arrives with some capable specs and features. So here’s everything you need to know regarding its hardware, pricing, availability, and more.
Redmi A4 5G: Specs and Features
The Redmi A4 5G was just announced with a tall 6.88-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the new budget phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2. This processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Users can even expand the storage by up to 1TB with a microSD card slot.
A large 5,160mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 18W wired fast charging. On the rear, the Redmi A4 5G has a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, you get a 5-megapixel camera. While this model weighs a hefty 212.35 grams, it measures a slim 8.22mm in thickness. Other notable features include Dual SIM support, side mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, and Android 14 OS based Xiaomi HyperOS custom skin out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi A4 5G arrives in two color options, namely Starry Black and Sparkle Purple. It is available in two storage configurations as well. The starting option with 4GB + 64GB costs 8,499 INR, while the 4GB + 128GB variant has a 9,499 INR price tag. So both models target the sub-10K INR price segment. Xiaomi will kick off the sales of the Redmi A4 5G in India on 27th November 2024. It will be available for purchase on the brand’s official website and Amazon India.
