Oppo appears to be pushing the boundaries of smartphone battery life, with leaks suggesting its upcoming phones may feature an impressive 7,000mAh battery. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a reliable source known for accurate leaks.
Oppo’s current flagship models, the Find X8 and X8 Pro, have already surpassed the traditional 5,000mAh barrier, thanks to advancements in silicon-carbon battery technology.
These batteries offer increased capacity while maintaining a smaller footprint. The leaked information suggests Oppo is taking this technology further.
7000mAh phones are coming
The leak reveals that Oppo is exploring even larger battery options for its next phones. One option features a 6,285mAh battery (likely rounded up to 6,410mAh for marketing), while another boasts an impressive 6,850mAh (rounded to 7,000mAh).
These batteries are expected to work with Oppo’s 80W SuperVOOC wired charging technology. However, the leak does not mention any details about wireless charging compatibility.

In related news, the same tipster reported earlier this month that Xiaomi is also developing a phone with a 7,000mAh battery. This device will reportedly support 90W charging and run on the Snapdragon 8s Elite or 8s Gen 4 chipset.
It’s worth noting that these details are based on leaks and have not been officially confirmed by Oppo or Xiaomi. However, given Digital Chat Station’s reliable track record, the information seems plausible.
While a 7,000mAh battery sounds impressive, it could come with trade-offs. Larger batteries often make phones thicker and heavier, which may not suit everyone’s preferences.
