Realme is all set to launch its new smartphone, the Realme 14x 5G, in India on December 18. Ahead of its official unveiling, the design of the upcoming device has been leaked via a render by 91mobiles, giving us an early look at what to expect from this successor to the Realme 12x 5G. Along with the design, the leaked information also hints at some of the key features that will make the Realme 14x 5G a competitive addition to the brand’s lineup.
Realme 14x 5G design and specifications (rumored):
The Realme 14x 5G is expected to feature a new camera design, with a vertically aligned triple camera setup on the back, a shift from the circular camera module seen on the Realme 12x 5G. This change suggests that Realme is aiming for a more modern, sleek look for its upcoming device. The triple camera setup on the Realme 14x 5G is a significant upgrade from the dual-camera system with a 50MP sensor seen on its predecessor, promising improved photography capabilities.

As seen in the leaked render, the Realme 14x 5G will have the volume and power buttons located on the right edge, with a USB Type-C port placed at the bottom for charging and data transfer. The device will likely be available in three color options: Crystal Black, Golden Glow, and Jewel Red, offering a range of choices for consumers. The image below is the predecessor, the Realme 12x 5G.

In terms of specifications, the Realme 14x 5G will sport a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, which is slightly smaller than the 6.72-inch screen on the Realme 12x 5G. While it may not be a massive upgrade in terms of size, the display is expected to offer good clarity and brightness for users. While no chipset information has been disclosed yet, we can expect a reasonable improvement in raw performance than the Dimensity 6100+-powered predecessor.
The device will be available in three storage variants: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB, giving users flexibility in terms of storage capacity. One of the most notable upgrades on the Realme 14x 5G is its 6,000mAh battery, a significant improvement over the 5,000mAh battery on the Realme 12x 5G. This larger battery is expected to provide longer usage times, making it an appealing option for heavy smartphone users.
Additionally, the Realme 14x 5G is rumored to come with an IP69 rating, which offers enhanced durability compared to the IP54 rating on the previous model. This means the upcoming device will likely be more resistant to dust and water, further improving its overall build quality.
