Xiaomi‘s 15 series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, has emerged as a top seller in the Chinese market. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the series has claimed the top spot among newly launched flagship Android smartphones in China, with an impressive 1.3 million activations in just a few weeks.

While specific sales figures for other flagship devices haven’t been disclosed, the tipster suggests that the second and third-placed contenders have managed to achieve around 600,000-700,000 and 250,000 activations, respectively.

The strong interest from Chinese customers heightens anticipation for the global launch of these devices. While the Xiaomi 14 series debuted globally around late February, the Xiaomi 15 series, featuring the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, is likely to arrive slightly earlier.

The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display (2670×1200) with 1-120Hz refresh rate, 3200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Xiaomi Ceramic Glass 2.0 protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm SoC with Adreno 830 GPU, 12GB/16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage, running on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.

The triple rear cameras include a 50MP main sensor with Hyper OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS and 8K video recording. The 32MP front camera supports 4K 60fps recording. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, IP68 water resistance, and a 5400mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro upgrades to a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO OLED display (3100×1440) with the same refresh rate and brightness. It shares the same processor, RAM, storage, and OS but features a more advanced camera system with a 50MP main sensor (f/1.44), a 50MP ultra-wide lens with macro support, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom, 10X lossless zoom, OIS, and 8K recording. It has a 6100mAh battery with the same charging features.
