3. Demon Souls (2020 Remake)
FromSoftware is best known for its Dark Souls series and Elden Ring. However, one of its earlier titles that featured its popular gaming formula was Demon’s Souls. The original title was launched back in 2009 with a remake arriving in 2020. It debuted as one of the launch titles of the PlayStation 5, bringing next gen graphics.
Interestingly, FromSoftware wasn’t behind this remake, with the game being remastered by Bluepoint Games. So if you’re a fan of the Soulsborne games, you should definitely play the 2020 remake of Demon’s Souls which breathes new life into the classic title and polishes the overall experience. You take the role of a lone warrior who has braved dangers to earn the title “Slayer of Demons” and entered into the kingdom of Boletaria. Get ready to die over and over again in this challenging action adventure fantasy game.
4. Bloodborne
Unlike Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne is a pureblood game from FromSoftware directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The title is inspired by legendary authors like H. P. Lovecraft and brings an experience that no other FromSoftware game has offered before.
This is the only Soulsborne game still exclusive to the PlayStation and it was praised for its faster paced gameplay, atmosphere, sound design, Lovecraftian themes, and interconnected world design. So for FromSoftware purists, this is a game you simply cannot miss out on.
5. Upcoming: Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei
Arriving at the upcoming games that are expected to be PlayStation exclusives, we have Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach continues the work of legendary video game director Hideo Kojima. A star-studded cast reprises their roles like Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker along with new characters like Elle Fanning and Shiloli Kutsuna.
Just like its predecessor, we can expect the 2025 title to be an action adventure game that puts the surreal and bizarre front and center. Kojima’s game was a hit or miss for many but it definitely deserved credit for the bold vision his game brought. We can expect him to expand on these themes and gameplay experience of connecting the States and saving humanity from extinction.
Ghost of Yotei is the highly anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. This title is an upcoming game being developed by Sucker Punch Productions and is set to release for the PlayStation 5 in 2025. The next gen model will carry the theme of “underdog vengeance” and is set in the year 1603, which is around 329 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima.

Players will take on the role of Atsu, a female warrior who adopts the persona of “The Ghost”. Unlike its predecessor, the developers claimed that the players will have more control over Atsu’s narrative and the choices she makes.
