Following the release of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro earlier this year, Oppo is now developing its next flagship smartphone. Expected to be named the Find X8 Ultra, the new device is anticipated to launch early next year, positioning it as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Ultimate, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Vivo X200 Ultra.

Ahead of the launch, recent leaks have provided insights into its key specifications. As per Digital Chat Station, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch quad-curved display with 2K resolution. Additionally, the phone will incorporate an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a significant upgrade over the optical sensor found on the Find X7 Ultra.

In terms of durability, the Find X8 Ultra is rumored to have IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring protection against water and dust. The device is also expected to pack a larger 6,000mAh battery, although the charging speed may be slightly reduced to 80W or 90W.

While the specific chipset hasn’t been confirmed, the Find X8 Ultra will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the other Find X8 models feature Dimensity 9400.

Previous reports claim that the Find X8 Ultra is expected to feature a quad-camera setup. This includes a 50MP Sony LYT 900 primary sensor with a 1-inch optical format, a 50MP Sony IMX 882 ultra-wide sensor with a 1/1.95-inch format, and two telephoto lenses. The telephoto lenses consist of a 50MP Sony LYT 701 sensor with a 1/1.56-inch format and a 75mm equivalent focal length, as well as a 50MP Sony IMX 882 sensor with a 1/1.95-inch format and a 150mm equivalent focal length. More details are expected to surface as we get closer to launch.
