G-Shock MRG-B2000JS-1A features

Inspired by the Juryoku-Maru: San katana, a sword crafted by master swordsmith Kamiyama Teruhira and lacquer artisan Nomura Mamoru, the watch features a recrystallized titanium bezel that mimics the edge patterns of a hand-forged blade. The case has a blue-grey AIP coating similar to a polished sword blade, while the band incorporates aogai-nuri, a traditional lacquer technique with mother-of-pearl inlay, resembling the sword’s scabbard.

Each watch is unique, with an individually numbered backplate engraved by Kamiyama Teruhira. The dial displays a hishimaki-gara diamond-shaped pattern, a traditional sword hilt design, and the watch indexes are shaped like a blade’s curve.

Despite its traditional aesthetic, the MRG-B2000JS-1A offers modern features. It has Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone synchronization, radio-controlled timekeeping for accuracy, and Tough Solar technology for extended battery life. Additionally, the watch provides dual time zones, automatic hand correction, and a powerful LED backlight for low-light visibility.

True to G-Shock’s durability, the MRG-B2000JS-1A is shock-resistant, water-resistant to 200 meters, and has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal face. The titanium alloy case and bracelet with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating ensure long-lasting durability and a premium finish.
