Nothing has started rolling out its stable Nothing OS 3.0 update, based on Android 15, for Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a) users in India. The update will gradually reach other regions and devices, including Phone (1) and CMF Phone 1, by early 2025.

Personalization and Connectivity at the Core
Nothing OS 3.0 brings a handful of useful features designed to simplify life and keep people connected. One of the highlights is Shared Widgets, which let you share updates like reminders or notes directly from your lock screen. While still in beta, this feature offers a fun and easy way to stay in touch with friends and family.
There’s also a new Countdown Widget that’s great for keeping track of deadlines or events. For app organization, the AI-powered Smart Drawer steps in to automatically sort apps into folders, saving you the hassle of manual sorting.
Upgraded Native Gallery
The gallery app now has advanced search options and upgraded editing tools, including filters, markup, and smart suggestions. Whether you’re organizing old photos or tweaking a new snapshot, these features make it easier to manage and enhance your pictures.
More Practical Improvements
The update includes several quality-of-life improvements. Quick Settings have been redesigned to make important controls easier to reach. The Enhanced Pop-up View streamlines multitasking, while visual updates like cleaner typography and smoother animations give the phone a fresh, polished look. Performance tweaks also mean your phone will run faster and more efficiently.
Nothing is rolling out the update in stages to ensure a smooth transition. This approach allows the company to address any issues and provide a stable experience for all users.
