Apple AirPods Pro May Soon Double as Health Trackers
According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the Cupertinop based giant is bringing impressive new health tracking features to its next gen AirPods Pro. Apple’s upcoming premium truly wireless earbuds might be getting smarter. The brand’s Apple Watch already offers various health tracking sensors, but the AirPods Pro are also catching up soon. Rumors hint that the AirPods Pro will soon support sensors for heart rate and temperature mapping.
The iPhone maker has focused on health tracking for its wearables and the AirPods Pro may soon be included in this philosophy. But while heart rate and temperature mapping makes sense, Apple has other wild ideas for the AirPods pro. The company has reportedly revisited the plan of adding a camera to the AirPods. Rumors of cameras coming to the hearables have surfaced in the past, but the company could be getting more serious about this idea, as per Mark Gurman.
However, these are likely much further away from an official release than the temperature and heart rate tracking variant of the AirPods Pro. With the Apple Artificial Intelligence in the mix, it is likely that AI is also another priority for this product line. Gurman claims that the next gen AirPod Pros are still in early development, but it might launch with these features as well.
