Casio Japan has introduced the Fine Metallic Series, a new addition to its G-Shock lineup. The series includes the square GM-5600 and octagonal GM-2100 models, blending stainless-steel bezels with silicone bands for a mix of durability and comfort.

Design and Materials
The stainless-steel bezels are polished using forging, cutting, and polishing techniques, with a combination of mirror and hairline finishes to create a balanced texture. The bands, made from silicone and reinforced with a urethane sheet, are designed for flexibility and resistance to abrasion. Gold or silver coatings on the urethane back complement the metallic bezels.

Features
The series includes standard G-Shock features:
- Shock Resistance: Protects against impact.
- 20-Bar Water Resistance: Suitable for water use.
- Super Illuminator: Bright LED light for visibility.
- GM-5600: Illuminates the LCD.
- GM-2100: Illuminates both the dial and LCD.
Practicality and Use
The combination of stainless steel and silicone materials makes these models versatile, suitable for various settings. The silicone band ensures comfort, while the metallic bezel adds durability.
