Polar has released the Ignite 3 Braided Yarn Edition smartwatch globally. This version replaces the original silicone wristband with a woven fiber strap, designed to be lightweight and soft for improved comfort.
The strap is available in two 20 mm width options. The black strap features a zig-zag pattern and is already on sale, while a Bold Red strap with a multicolored design has been announced but is not yet available.
Polar Ignite 3 features
The smartwatch has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels, offering sharper visuals. The display includes an ambient light sensor for adaptive brightness. The case measures 43mm, with a thickness of 9.5mm, and the device weighs 21 grams without the strap and 35 grams with it.
The Ignite 3 tracks sleep, heart rate, calorie consumption, and various activities. Its Nightly Recharge feature provides insights into energy levels, while SleepWise analyzes sleep patterns and offers recommendations for optimal rest. It offers over 150 sports modes, guided breathing exercises, and in-training audio feedback. Polar Fitness Tests help users evaluate their physical condition before workouts.
The device’s 215mAh battery provides up to 120 hours in watch mode, 30 hours with GPS and heart rate tracking, and 100 hours in power-saving mode.
Pricing & availability
The Polar Ignite 3 Braided Yarn Edition is priced at £294.00 in the UK and €339.90 in the EU. It will retail for $340 in the US. Currently, the product is listed as out of stock on Polar’s website in the US, with no confirmed release date.
