As per recent reports, Vivo will launch the V50 smartphone in India in February 2025, just five months after the V40’s release. Ahead of the launch, leaked information has revealed the pricing details of the Vivo V50. Tipster Abhishek Yadav suggests that the Vivo V50 will come with a starting price of Rs 37,999, though he expresses some uncertainty, stating it will likely remain under Rs 40,000. This represents a potential Rs 3,000 increase over the V40’s launch price of Rs 34,999.

The tipster also revealed specifications of the V50, which appears to be largely similar to the V40. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. The dual rear camera setup, featuring two 50-megapixel sensors, is also rumored to be carried over. Similarly, the 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies is expected to remain unchanged. The overall design language is also predicted to be consistent with the V40 series.

However, the V50 is tipped to offer improvements in battery capacity and charging speed. A larger 6,000mAh battery is rumored, compared to the V40’s 5,500mAh unit. Charging speed is also expected to be upgraded to 90W, up from 80W. A surprising addition, according to leaks, could be IP68 and IP69 ratings for enhanced water and dust resistance. These ratings, typically found in flagship devices, would offer increased protection against submersion. While these specifications and price points have surfaced online, Vivo has yet to officially confirm any details. Consumers are advised to treat these leaks with caution until the official announcement.
