OnePlus has begun rolling out new updates for the OnePlus 13R, with region-specific enhancements for India and North America (NA). The Indian variant receives OxygenOS 15.0.0.406, featuring the January 2025 Android security patch and advanced AI translation tools. Meanwhile, the NA variant gets OxygenOS 15.0.0.405, focusing on system stability and network improvements.

OnePlus 13R

The Indian update, identified by firmware version CPH2691_15.0.0.406(EX01), introduces significant upgrades. Wi-Fi and communication stability have been enhanced for a smoother network experience. Camera performance, including third-party camera apps, has also been optimized. The update integrates new AI translation features, such as real-time speech translation, face-to-face translation in Split View, and audio playback of translations through supported headphones. Users can initiate face-to-face translation with a single tap, with one language played through the phone’s speaker and the other through the headphones.

In contrast, the NA update, labeled CPH2647_15.0.0.405(EX01), is more modest, focusing solely on improving network stability and system performance. It does not include the AI features introduced in the Indian variant, suggesting a potential follow-up update for NA users.

The rollout is gradual, with the update expected to reach all devices within 1-2 weeks. Indian users should look for firmware version CPH2691_15.0.0.406(EX01), while NA users should check for CPH2647_15.0.0.405(EX01).

The update is being released in phases, beginning with a limited group of users before reaching more devices in the coming days. To check for it manually, go to Settings > About Device > OxygenOS > Check for Update.
