After Huawei introduced its groundbreaking tri-folding Mate XT smartphone in September 2024, Infinix, a trendy tech brand, has now unveiled its own take on the tri-folding concept. The Infinix ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold Concept has a triple-folding design with dual hinges that fold vertically, providing different form factors for various uses.

Infinix ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold Concept Foldable Device

Unlike traditional foldables that simply expand into tablets, this concept transforms between a smartphone, fitness companion, and compact camera system. The device can be mounted on gym equipment for workout tracking, clipped to backpacks for action photography, or used as a standard smartphone.

Multi-Forms For Multi-Scenarios

The outward-folding design enables dual-screen functionality, making real-time multilingual conversations possible with translated content visible to both users simultaneously. This same configuration converts the device into a premium camera system, using the main camera for high-quality photos while providing a screen for perfect framing.

For fitness enthusiasts, the concept includes innovative strap accessories that secure it to gym equipment, bicycle handlebars, or car dashboards. This allows users to track workouts, follow exercise routines, or navigate routes without occupying their hands. When folded into its most compact form, the device functions as a sleek, lightweight smartphone designed for comfortable single-handed use.

It remains unclear if Infinix plans to bring this concept to market. Even so, the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold adds fresh ideas to a smartphone landscape that can sometimes feel repetitive, echoing the practical innovation once seen from brands like LG.
