Xiaomi unveiled its new Xiaomi 15 Ultra flagship at Mobile World Congress, along with a special Photography Kit Legend Edition designed to give smartphone photographers more control. The kit costs €199 and is sold separately from the phone, offering both hardware and software perks.
At the heart of the kit is a camera grip that connects via USB-C. It comes with a detachable shutter button (in red or black) that works just like a professional camera: half-press to lock focus, press fully to capture a shot, and hold it down for burst mode. The grip also has convenient dials to manually tweak exposure (EV), shutter speed, ISO, and white balance. A dedicated lever lets you switch zoom levels and focal lengths on the fly, and there’s a separate button for starting video recording. Inside, a 2,000mAh battery keeps the setup running through long photo sessions.
You’ll also find a vegan leather back cover inspired by Leica’s red-and-black style, featuring a round cutout that can hold either a decorative ring or a 67mm filter adapter ring for attaching professional lens filters. A detachable thumb support is included to make horizontal shooting more comfortable.
On the software side, Fastshot mode simplifies street photography by letting you preset exposure, focus, and shutter controls for quick adjustments. It all aims to give you a DSLR-like experience right on your phone, with tactile controls and a modular design. Xiaomi says more regional availability details will be shared later.
