In December 2024, Oppo unveiled the Oppo A5 Pro smartphone in China. The Dimensity 7300-powered device comes equipped with a durable build. Today, the brand confirmed that it will launch the Oppo A5 and A5 Vitality Edition phones on March 18 in China.
The official teasers of the Oppo A5 and A5 Vitality Edition suggest that these devices will arrive with IP66/68/69 ratings and start at 1,000 Yuan. Both phones are already listed for pre-orders through the online Oppo store in China.
Oppo A5 variants, colour options, and specifications

The official listing of the Oppo A5 reveals that it will be available in multiple configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. It will be available in black, blue, and pink shades. This phone is believed to be the Oppo PKQ110, which was recently approved by the TENAA authority in China.
The TENAA listing suggests that the Oppo A5 5G will feature a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display and house a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It is likely to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. In terms of photography, it sports a dual-camera setup at the back, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter. It will have a slim profile of 7.65mm and weigh 185 grams.
Oppo A5 Vitality Edition variants, colour options, and specifications

The Oppo A5 Vitality Edition will be available in the following variants: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. It will be sold in shades like black, green, and pink.
The Oppo A5 Vitality Edition, believed to be the PKV110 phone listed in TENAA’s database, may come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip. It will feature a slightly smaller 6.67-inch LCD HD+ screen and pack a 5,800mAh battery with 45W charging. Like the A5 5G, it retains the same camera configuration: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary lens, and an 8-megapixel front camera. With a thickness of 7.86mm and a weight of 196 grams, it will be slightly bulkier than the A5.
