Huawei has released a teaser video for its upcoming FreeBuds 6, the latest addition to its popular line of wireless earbuds. The FreeBuds 6 is set to debut at the Pura event on March 20, which will succeed the FreeBuds 5 (review) from 2023. Similar design to its predecessor, now with Huawei Sound branding

The charging case also maintains a familiar pebble-shaped design. One difference is that it now features Huawei Sound branding, which is also highlighted in the teaser video. For those unaware, this is a sign of the company’s in-house sound division and its specialized audio tuning.

Not to mention, the inclusion of Huawei Sound branding hints at an improved audio quality and overall listening experience. While specific details remain under wraps, improvements in active noise cancellation (ANC), battery life, and new AI-powered features are also expected.

This teaser sparks anticipation for those who appreciated the unique design and performance of the FreeBuds 5. The open-ear design, which offers a comfortable fit and a more natural listening experience, has been well-received, and its continuation in the FreeBuds 6 is likely to appeal to existing fans.

To recall, the predecessor, the FreeBuds 5 packs an impressive 30-hour battery life for the 11mm drivers. The ANC is supported by three microphones on each earbud, which also supports LDAC codec and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It also has a proximity pairing feature (that works with recent Huawei phones), which will likely be present on the FreeBuds 6 as well.

As we inch closer to the March 20 launch date, more details more details at the features and specifications will likely emerge. For now, the teaser promises an upgraded listening experience paired with a unique design.
