Samsung has confirmed that it will begin rolling out its Android 15-based One UI 7 update next month. The update will be available for the Galaxy S23 and S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S10 series.

One UI 7 brings a fresh UI design and deeper customization options to Galaxy owners. And, of course, it’s packed with AI-powered features. But one of those features won’t be making its way to the Galaxy S23 series.

That missing feature is Audio Eraser, Samsung’s AI-powered tool that removes background noise from recorded videos.

According to the company’s latest press release, Audio Eraser will be available on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series. But notably, the list does not include the Galaxy S23 lineup or the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The good news though, Samsung confirmed that other AI-powered tools like Drawing Assist and Writing Assist will be available across all Galaxy S23 models, including the S23 FE and the Tab S9 series.

What is Audio Eraser in Samsung phones?

Samsung’s Audio Eraser is a smart noise-removal tool within the Gallery app that lets users clean up background sounds — like wind or chatter — from recorded videos.

If you are into vlogging or frequently shoot videos on your phone, Audio Eraser could come in really handy. But you will need a Galaxy S24 or newer device to use it.

It is not necessarily a hardware limitation, as the Galaxy S23 series have the power to handle it. Instead, Samsung could be reserving some AI features for newer models — or it might expand support in a future update.

One UI 7 will roll out to the eligible phones starting April 7.
