Oppo has started teasing the launch of the Find X8 Ultra, which is set to debut in April in China. However, none of the teasers have fully revealed the phone’s design. Back in February, live images showcasing both the front and rear of the device surfaced on Chinese social media platforms. Now, a new image has emerged, offering another look at the device.

The leaked image matches with the previously seen live shot of the Find X8 Ultra. It can be seen sporting a flat-edged frame with a slightly curved transition between the back panel and the sides, designed for a more comfortable grip. While the screen is not visible in this image, the brand has already confirmed that it will be equipped with a flat display.

A large circular camera module is prominently visible, protruding significantly from the back and surrounded by a metallic ring. The camera setup, which houses multiple sensors, includes what seems to be a Hasselblad-branded multispectral lens. However, the module design is likely disguised, as the phone is enclosed in a confidentiality case to conceal its final look.

A noticeable change on the Find X8 Ultra is that the Alert Slider has been removed in favor of a pressable smart key. This new button is expected to offer more customization options, providing users with enhanced functionality. Additionally, the image raises speculation about the phone’s width, with some wondering whether it is slightly narrower than the Find X8 Pro, potentially improving one-handed usability.

The new Magic Cube button will also be seen on Find X8s, Find X8S+, and high-end OnePlus phones. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau clarified in a recent community post that while the Alert Slider has been a signature feature, it is restricted to a single function—switching sound profiles. The company has been exploring improvements for three years but found it impossible to customize due to its fixed physical position.

The new button will allow better space utilization, structural improvements, and user customization, similar to Apple’s Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro series. While details on its functionality remain unclear, Lau assured that users could still change sound profiles and invited feedback on additional features.
