Honor has introduced the Pad X9a as its latest mid-range tablet in Malaysia. The company isn’t making a big splash with the release, and it’s keeping pricing details under wraps too. But now that the tablet is listed on Honor Malaysia’s website, we’ve got the full rundown of its specs and features. So let’s walk through it.
Honor Pad X9a Specifications
The Honor Pad X9a has an 11.5-inch LCD screen with 2.5K resolution (1504 x 2508 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.

Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 chipset, an entry-level processor fabricated on TSMC’s 6nm. Honor pairs this with 8GB of RAM which can be expanded virtually up to 8GB from the 128GB storage. However, the latter is not expandable, so users are limited to onboard storage.
For cameras, the Pad X9a keeps things basic with an 8MP rear sensor featuring autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture. On the front, a 5MP camera handles video calls and selfies.
As is expected from tablets, camera hardware isn’t a focus here. But it should be sufficient for basic tasks like scanning documents or video conferencing.
Powering the device is an 8,300mAh battery, with support for 35W charging. Honor claims the tablet can last up to 70 days on standby, though real-world usage will likely vary.

The tablet supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 and works with Honor’s wireless keyboards and stylus accessories. It runs Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 and supports a stylus as well as a Bluetooth keyboard. But you don’t get LTE or telco network support here.
Honor has listed the Pad X9a in a single Gray color variant, but as mentioned earlier, pricing details are yet to be announced. Given its mid-range specs, it’s expected to compete with similarly priced tablets from brands like Samsung and Xiaomi.
